Child Welfare League of China (CLWC)’s Give Me New Life is a medical aid program initial objective was to help sick orphans but was later extended to help children from poor families. This is a fundraising program to help needy children fund their medical fees and regain normal life. Since year 2000, over 2,000 children has benefited from the program which is supported by local hospitals and companies like P & G, Welch, Babytree, Babycare and many warm-hearted donors. Through the program, these children have received medical care and started brand new life.
l Who do we help? Babies and Children, till the age of 14, from poor families with medical conditions such as congenital heart disease, cleft and lip palate and hypostasi.
l How do we help? Medical fees will be transferred to the hospital whereby the child is required to receive medical care. The child will have to be a successful applicant of this fund.
l What are the subsidies? The program offers from 50% to a full subsidy for hospitalization and surgery fees according to the condition of each child.
l How do donors get updates? Donors can follow up on their donations and track the child’s path to recovery through CWLC website. At the same time, to build up a relationship, the donor may send mails to the child.
l To contribute, you can: 1. Donate to the children on the surgery waiting list or launch a fundraising. 2. Assist the children in their education, rehabilitation and provide psychology support.
