Child labor has been around for a very long time as long as parents have had kids, children have been doing work. As long ago as the stone age kids were just seen as free labor but around the 1800's kids were employed by companies for cheeper labor. What most people think is that child labor is forced work on kids, this is false. Although kids weren't forced to do work, when conditions got worse it didn't go over well.
