Welcome to Child Development with Mrs. Lawrence. Students will utilize this website as a source of information about the Child Development courses they are enrolled in. Included here are the course syllabi, journal blogging guidelines and forms required for participation in the Outplacement Program. I will also update the site to include important project handouts from time to time and will inform students of this in class. The focus of the four Child Development courses is as follows: Child Development I: introduction to child development Child Development II: teaching young children Advanced Studies in Child Development: assessment and curriculum creation for young children Outplacement: highly individualized program where students assist in a classroom at the Winthrop Elementary School Select students this year will be working on creating a website for the Ipswich High Onsite Preschool program - the hands on/lab component of the Child Development courses.
