The Chicago Google Summer of Codeā„¢ (GSoC) meetup is organized by the University of Chicago's ACM Student Chapter, in collaboration with other Chicago-area ACM Student Chapters, and kindly hosted at Google's Chicago offices. The meetup allows Chicago-area GSoC students to present their upcoming summer work to other Chicago-area students, and also includes a couple talks by Google engineers. Google kindly provides oodles of food, and much merriment and mingling ensues.

The 2012 meetup will include an evening of lightning talks at Google's Chicago offices on Wednesday, May 23rd, intended mostly for Chicago-area students but also open to all GSoC-ers. Check out the 2012 meetup page for more details. Take into account that you must register in advance to attend this event (registration is free).
