Hi! Thanks for visiting my homepage. I trust that my charm has lured you thus far and has piqued your curiosity enough to want to learn more about me. Both my parents are Mexican and I am a first-generation Mexican-American. No, I'm not a wetback (but I do know how to swim :D). I enjoy experiencing the supernatural on a weekly basis through my spiritual community (read: church).

Why I'm not insane but might still be

I have a Chemical Engineering BS from Stanford University, and I hope I never let it get to my head. While I am thankful for my education, I learned that it's not what you know that defines who you are. It's what you've accomplished that matters most. Chemical Engineering is a great discipline for discovery that has taught me invaluable methods of problem-solving and analysis. But it's the discipline and not the subject matter that allows me to dangle tentacles into various fields that interest me. Philosophy (couldn't figure out how to make a career out of this), Biology, Physics, and Programming are among the pools that I wade in the deepest. I have a great interest in video gaming and hope for the day when I can enter my very own Holodeck.

The Purpose of this site

Purpose. Yes, the Purpose. I want to explain life. Unlike the other meanings of life (42, sex, the search for the meaning of life, "Life sucks, then you die"), I don't want to oversimplify the complexities of life and claim to give you a perfectly worded sentence that describes the answer everyone seeks. For myself, the search for the meaning of life begins with anecdotes, snapshots and snippets of life that can be explained or expounded as an individual entity; each entity combined works in conjunction with its neighbor to produce a living argument that grows, bleeds, and matures.
