Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como, Italy. We'll arrive by boat since there are only small roads that lead to the villa, and most of the time the roads are closed.
The ceremony will be held on the loggia, providing the weather stays nice...
Why
Trying to organize (and pay for) a local wedding was stressing us out to no end. We had seen the latest James Bond 007 movie, Casino Royale, that had a scene whose location was absolutely gorgeous. So, we thought we'd see if we could get married in Italy.
Sure enough it was possible to do that and after looking around we managed to book the very Villa in which the movie scene took place...yeah!
Varenna
We're staying in the city of Varenna, at a cute B&B called La Torretta overlooking the lake.

Civil Ceremony - Varenna Wedding Hall
11:00a - We are having the legal signing in the morning. We'll be in nice clothes, but will save the wedding dress and tuxedo for later.

Symbolic Ceremony
4:15 - Ezio and his boat will take us from the Royal Victoria Hotel to Villa Balbianello.
5:00 - Symbolic Ceremony starts
5:30 - Time for Pictures
7:00 - Boat will take us back to Varenna
Reception Dinner
7:30 Dinner at Vecchia Varenna. They serve delicious local fish straight from the lake.
