Important meetings for parents of children with additional needs: 12-16 March

pinpoint is an organisation run by parents for parents. The next pinpoint district network meetings will focus on health services. There is a fantastic range of senior health commissioners (service buyers) and managers coming along to talk to parents about important changes to the way health and mental health services will be provided in Cambridgeshire. These changes will affect how services like GPs, therapists, health visitors, nurses, child and adolescent mental health and hospitals are provided. And also how equipment such as wheelchairs, as well as continence supplies, are provided. So this is your chance to find out what the changes might mean for you and your family, to ask senior health managers questions face-to-face, and to share your thoughts on what is, and is not, working well. Social care representatives will also be available, and Disability Cambridgeshire will be on hand to provide advice on welfare rights and benefits claims. The first hour of each meeting is for parents and carers only. Refreshments are provided. Each parent or carer attending gets a £10 voucher towards their out of pocket expenses (other help available on request). For more information and to find a venue near you, visit the pinpoint website: http://www.pinpoint-cambs.org.uk/events/forthcoming. To book your place or talk to a member of the pinpoint team, phone/text 0751 741 9761 or email caroline@pinpoint-cambs.org.uk.
