About ChemCompanion

ChemCompanion is an interactive online learning tool for general college chemistry being developed by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Brigham Young University. It presents all the core concepts of general chemistry through a series of easy-to-navigate animated lectures.

How does ChemCompanion work?

Concepts are taught in ChemCompanion via lecture videos and animations called discussions. In addition to the discussions, students have access to a wealth of other material, from practice questions with detailed explanations, a hyperlinking glossary, a highly informative and detailed periodic table and more.

ChemCompanion is like a digital textbook. All the material that a student needs to learn general chemistry is contained within the program.
