As said before, the Amazon rainforest accounts for twenty percent of the world’s oxygen, so cutting it down is taking the air from the people and animals of the world. Air would become limited living things would die in just a couple of hundred years. Rain deforestation is holding back our medical advances. Hardly any of the plants, animals, insects, and trees have been tested for medicine uses. AIDS, cancer, and hundreds of other diseases have gone unsolved. Each tree that is cut down and each species that is lost is forcing us closer and closer back to our primitive past and increases the chance of a global epidemic killing millions. As Global Warming become a bigger and bigger issue each year, people look for ways to help. Almost always they will overlook the way to reverse the cycle in stop cutting down the rainforest and help restore it. If this keeps going, the ice caps will melt due to high temperature and risk land submerging under the water which would lead to people and animals drowning.
