New! Survey on Chelsea priorities (8/16) Where's the money going?
| We did it!
Thanks to the entire Chelsea Community, especially those that braved the rain and light snow on election day, to make change happen. But this is just the start. We need to be involved for the long term if changes are going to be permanent. CCFA will be re-tooling for this effort in the next few months. Watch this space and the Chelsea Standard for announcements of our plans. We still need your help! Second Public Meeting HeldCCFA held its second successful public meeting on 29 September. A near capacity crowd (including several Council members) was in attendance. The purpose of the meeting was to address several of the issues raised in the Council's Q&A. The briefing slides are available here. (Adobe Acrobat 7 or later will be needed to open). Agenda: Council Candidates EndorsedChelsea Citizens for Accountability has endorsed two new candidates for the upcoming City Council election (6 Nov). Bill Holmberg and Rod Anderson subscribe to our vision of what Chelsea City Government needs to become. See our Press Release for more information. Survey results for our City Performance survey are now available. Please take our new survey on city priorities. First Public Meeting HeldOur first public meeting was held Monday, 23 July at McKune Library. Over sixty Chelsea residents attended, near standing room only. Tom Lynn presented a summary of our principles and vision, then opened the floor for discussion. Many residents spoke on specific issues of concern, such as the water department, the Bookcrafter purchase, and other issues. Jane Morse, Jeannie Olinynk, Tim Sullivan and Rod Anderson spoke on various aspects of CCFA's philosophy, current activities, and plans. A strong majority of attendees voted to continue meeting on a monthly basis. Please join us for our next meeting, we need your help! Page hits:

burdens unnecessarily laid upon them by their governments."
