There has not been any pics taken by me, because my camera is broken. David has his, but it is in the truck with him.
So I will update all of you that read our webpages.
We are making plans to go to Port-au-Prince Haiti the end of the year. We are trying to raise support to be able to go.
David and I will require at least $600 per month to keep us there. We will be turning our trailer back over to our landlord
and all of our belongings will go in storage. God has been working this out so far. We are getting excited about all of it.
We will be spending a week October 6-13 over there checking out the area, and figuring out exactly what we will be able to
purchase there and what we will need to ship across.
Rachel is no longer with us, she has moved on to her own apartment. She still needs to find a job, but I guess that will happen soon enough.
We will contiue to help her as needed and keep praying for her.
Our plans are to be ready to leave Joplin November 27. We want to have a van purchased and a lot of our supplies ready to ship. We are planning on driving a rental truck to Miami, FL, taking 3 days to drive the trip, and spend a few days in Miami getting the container ready to ship. We hope to find someone there that can provide us accomadations while we wait. Than by Dec 3 or 4 we will fly to Haiti. We need to be there a month or more before school starts in order to prepare the house for 25 students to arrive in January.
Gerard MOndestin has been there for a month and has found us a house to use for the school and also housing for David & I. We will live on the property. We will find this very different.
We will be needing to purchase a mosquito net to prevent any buggy bites. If any of you family or friends would like to help us with that purchase that would be wonderful. The net is going to cost about $100 for one that is enclose with a floor on it, looks like a tent, only all net on the top. It wil be a travel one, so it will fold flat and travel in our suitcase.
We are also asking for any support that you can give, whether it be prayers or financially. We will take a one time gift or maybe put us in your budget for a monthly donation.
You c an view the website for the college at www.haitiancollege.org
My dog MiMi Lou will be going with us when we move. This should be a great expereince.
And so my friends I leave you now and will come back later and write another page.
Love to all, Cindy Cheesbrough
There is a pretty side of Haiti for all the tourists.......... And then you have the not so pretty side of Haiti
Please, Please pray for us and this mission trip to Haiti. Help us to help those that wish to learn about God and take it to others they know.
