I was on my way to see Lucille on Friday afternoon. As I slowed down to make a left hand turn into the driveway, I turned and
wham, I was hit by a vehicle that was behind me. All I know is I looked out my window and was a vehicle at my side.
It was a Ford Explorer SUV vehicle. Big Vehicle. I'm ok, just suffered some back and neck pain, which will take time to heal.
This is the front of the vehicle that hit me. She said that she wasn't going fast.
We went back to take a look at the accident site and guess what we found? We found skid marks of the vehicle that hit me.
This is just another view of the skid marks. Where I am standing is where the tar spot that I slid on was.
Just another view of the accident site. We took lots of photo's.
Well my car had to be towed to the shop and here it sits waiting on my insurance adjuster to look at it.
The body shop manager told me that it appears that the rear suspension was bent as well as the tire
mount was bent. the cost of repairs mean that the car has been totalled. now we are looking for another vehicle.
The back door would not shut so we are holding it shut with 2 seat belts.
Made a nice mess huh? Second time this car has been hit. One of these days I'm going
to have to get a new one. I think today is that day!!!
It dented clear up by the window.
Anway my car will be in the shop at least 3 weeks. So in the meantime I'm driving a 2009 Kia Sedona minivan.\
I could have driven Davids truck, but Rachell is with me and I on occasion have to pick up her children.
2 car seats don't fit in a pickup truck. Anyway, my saga for the time being. I
I am recuperating and I lost 2 days of work because of this. I really didn't need this to happen, but it did so
we live with it.
Talk to you later
Cindy C. Wednsday 27th. David is broken down and stuck in Atlanta GA, and Cindy got the news to come clean out the car, the cost of repairs has exceeded the value of the vehicle - a total loss.
so now she will have to work through the issues completely without David's help as usual. .. in fact she is often better at dealing with such things without his interference!!! |
