A Sad time and a Happy time. September 5th Weekend

This picture is a few weeks old.
we see Mimi, Petey and Tigger asleep on Mummy's legs during an afternoon nap

Petey now lives with two young boys, 2 and 4. They love him to death

Tigger still lives with us, but he is more the outdoor type

Mimi now has a new home with a boy poodle and a Siamese cat for company.

If you are unaware... Here is the story.
the plan is to go to Haiti around Christmas to set up a Bible College there.
We will be Missionaries.
as a part of the process we asked our good friends Vern and Lucille if we could come live with them for a while to save on living costs.
they agreed, and the move in date was set for September 30th.
THEN!!!
trouble started. you remember that Girl Rachell that was lodging with us for a while (5 months)?
well we helped her set up in her own appartment, and let her take over the payments on the truck so she could have transportation.
we did everything we could for that girl, and then some.
but her new boyfriend took a VIOLENT dislike to Cindy.
within days the name calling began, offensive messages on the cellphones, swearing in voice messages, nastiness galore.
the short story is that now we do not speak to Rachell, and Cindy does not feel safe to live in the trailer alone whilst i am on the road.
Vern and Lucille have been great.
they have a spare room upstairs (they sleep downstairs because of Vern's mobility troubles.)
this room was and will be vacant.
and so they offered it to Cindy as a port in a storm.
we are now in the process of moving out of the Webb City trailer.
those who wish to know our new information should email us or call.
this violent boyfriend is the type to hound anyone he knows the whereabouts of. so our address is now secret. and we will be changing Cellphone Numbers

Back to the good stuff.
Lucille collects Skunks - she thinks they are cute???!!
so Cindy found her a Skunk cake.

Very good thing

We left for Branson that Friday night. we are booked to see the Musical Noah on Saturday.
We are staying at the Kimberling City (near Branson) version of the Silverleaf Timeshare.
Here Vern drinks tea

Cindy eats Skunk Butt

Lucille is graceful as always

We did not have a head shot of the skunk before. do now.

So, to preserve the good of the Skunk a slong as possible we started eating at the tail.
the cake is Red Velvet - kinda like the bloody insides of a real animal.
there was some suggestions of including gummy worms and squashing it like roadkill, but that would have gone too far i think.

Last week i went to Philadelphia PA and back.
this next week it is to Gainesville GA, and back via Texas.

the last bit of news.
Geico gave us back our deductable after that accident $500
I got my pet deposit back from D&D $500
Cindy found a flight on American Airlines from Tulsa to Port au Prince Haiti for $1000.60
We booked. we paid.
the Vacation trip is ON!
now we will get to have our wedding anniversary meal in some posh restaurant on a Carribean island!
and nuts to you guys freezing in the frozen North.

it will not be all vacation - mostly a working vacation - i will be preaching twice and meeting with many people we need to have onboard to make a go of this college.
So anyone who can make a donation would be greatly appreciated.
we would prefer lots of people giving a small amount on a regular basis ($20 a month) than fussing because they cannot afford a huge contribution... then giving nothing.

we have Humphrey Kolomo doing an update on our website - check back on www.haitianbiblecollege.org to see that progress.

OK. i will upload more pictures if i take them,
until then.. TTFN to all
