i thought after last week that my big travels were over. but no.
setting off on the 6th from base i ended up delivering in Atlanta GA. 700 Miles 2 days
reload just down the road for Logan UT 1890 miles deliver Sunday
reload back to Gainesville GA 1900 miles mon-thu
reload on the same dock for Winchester KY 340 miles. deliver Friday AM
and that is where the problems began. being in Kentucky with nothing to do early on a friday morning can be dangerous.
no work was to be found anywhere. I sat waiting till 4pm before finally a nibble - but this would load Sunday in Ohio for 2 drops in Springfield MO and finalling Kansas City Wednesday.
problem.
Cindy is heading to Bartlesville to see her daughter Tuesday afternoon, so it looks like i will miss her in person, just as i have been missing her emotionally for the last two weeks.
let's hope that we can get together toward the weekend before heading out on the next round. life was so much simpler when i was single, but so much lonlier too. I wish i could figure out the proper tradeoff.
I wonder why i took this picture?
oh Yes. Spot the rock/ boulder hiding in the bush.
I scraped it one night whilst backing into a parking spot.
the long story is that i was parked alongside this bush when a Werner truck could not make the turn (the wrong way) into the parking lot, and Hit my trailer. to prevent further damage i had to move. in doing so i scraped the rock. io did not know it was there as it was hiding in the bush.
Now you can see it. this pic was taken at 5am so is a bit indistinct.
When not in my lap or on the passenger seat, meggy spends her time curled up on the floor by the gearshift - looks very uncomfortable to me. but then again i do not clean my bottom by licking it either!
all the hangy thingies on the front deck at home - this pic is out of sequence but what the hey
leaving Gainesville, it took 4 hours to get 40 miles around the city of Atlanta and onto the northward run to KY.
Where are all these guys going?
Ok that is my bit for the moment. Cindy is supposedly working on two pages, one of April, and one of our trip to Branson this month. expect them when you see them.
also she has a new dog - a little rat-like thing, called Mimi.
