Faith

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes complete and final revelation.  The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole and in part, including theological concepts as well as geographical and historical events. 

God has existed from all eternity in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.  Christ Jesus was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man except without sin.

All men are in violation of God’s righteousness and His holy character both by nature and act, and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation.  The central purpose of the coming of Jesus was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment   of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.

Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner.  This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever but in the sacrificial death of Christ Jesus alone.

We believe God, in His Word, has given parents the responsibility and authority to educate their children in a godly manner. 

Purpose

To provide for the parents’ needs for biblical and practical support and encouragement in their role of educating their children, including the mother’s need for exchange of ideas and to support the father in his role of headship of the family.  Also, to provide extracurricular activities for our children with families who are like-minded.

Education

We believe that the ultimate responsibility for the education of children belongs to parents ( Deut. 4:9, 4:14, 6:1-25).  Thus, we believe this is an inalienable right given by God which the State cannot create, destroy, nor alter.  Parents may allow another to teach some of the cognitive information that children need to know, but all education must be under the ultimate control and supervision of parents.

We believe that all education is religious in nature since one’s view of the world and life is inevitably involved in teaching (Proverbs 2:1-8, 3:1-2, 6:20-23, Matthew 28:18-20).  Every discipline of knowledge, whether it be mathematics, history, science, etc., will have as its final reference point a theistic or, in the alternative, a humanistic view of reality (Colossians 1:15-20, 2:8-15),and that there is no neutral academic point.

Family

We believe that the family is the basic governmental, social, and spiritual unit created by God.  In it, the child learns self government, social relations, and develops a relationship to the Creator and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:5, John 3:16, Ephesians 6:1, Colossians 3:20).  The family also provides protection from over extensive government and over stimulating social involvements.

We understand “family” to mean a male and a female as parents, legally married (Genesis 1:26-28), although we recognize the exceptions of a single parent, adopted, foster, and step children (James 1:27).

We reject homosexual marriages and homosexual orientation because it is contrary to Scripture and the intentions of God in creation (Romans 1:18-32), and we believe that such relationships are destructive to children and the very idea of family.  Further, we reject transitory, co-habitational relationships as being equally in violation of God’s laws and incapable of providing the long-term nurture and instruction needed by children and commanded by God (Proverbs 1:8-9, 2:1-11, Colossians 3:21, Ephesians 6:4).  In view of this, no homosexual or merely co-habiting “parents” are eligible for membership.
