This is the official website of Chedworth Radio Controlled Flying Club. We are happy to welcome you whether it be with a view to becoming a club member or simply to learn more about our hobby. To arrange a visit please email our Club Secretary at chedworthflyingclub@gmail.com Our
Club Chedworth Radio Controlled Flying Club is affiliated to the British Model Flying Association (BMFA). We fly from a good tarmac runway with very few obstructions located near the village of Chedworth in Gloucestershire. Chedworth is situated between Northleach and Cirencester. The runway and car park are on private land within a farm estate and are not open to the public for any other use. Our site attracts model fliers from a wide area and who enjoy the excellent flying offered by our high quality facility. Membership All members will need to hold a BMFA ‘A’ Certificate as a minimum or on joining receive supervised tuition to attain this level - beginner members will be offered free tuition by experienced club members as required. Flying Due to the nature of our site we fly fixed wing, radio controlled model aircraft only. Gliders are welcome, however we are unable to permit bungee launches, and they must be able to land back on the tarmac – we regret that we have no access to grassed areas or fields. Jet models may be flown for the majority of the year although our runway may be too short for some of the higher performance models.
