Professional Pianist, Lecturer and Composer

Born and educated in Royal Leamington Spa, Carl began playing the piano at the age of 6 and developed a serious interest in music during his teenage years. Inspired by Oscar Peterson, Dave Grusin, Bob James and more recently Olivier Messiaen, Arvo Part and Marcel Dupre, he took additional guidance from touring professionals and various academic institutions.

Over the years Carl has developed his unique playing style and extensive repertoire of Jazz, Popular and Classical music performing all over the UK playing for names such as, The BBC, ITV, The House of Lords, The Savoy, The Hilton group, TME, Steve Winwood and Lord George Carey, to name but a few.

In addition to his solo work Carl also lectures at City College, Coventry, plays keyboards in one of the UK’s leading party bands, Accompanies various male and female vocalists and gives private tuition on piano jazz and compositional technique.

In recent times, his series of piano compositions “Bridges” have attained significant recognition for popularising neo-romanticism. 

Carl is looking to further his career and pursue his long term plan to become a Classical Musicologist.
