August 23, 2009 Daisy Troop 3106 Visits Museum of Natural HistoryJuly 12, 2009 Girl Scouts and Microsoft Corp. joined forces to create LMK (text speak for "let me know")
— an online safety resource where girls are the technology experts on
subjects that are often best discussed at a teen-to-teen level, like
cyberbullying, predators and social networking. This girl-led campaign
allows girls to share their online concerns with peer "tech-perts"
about the issues that affect them while raising awareness about how to
help keep girls (ages 13–17) safe while surfing the Web. In addition,
parents have access to a site specifically geared to their needs,
equipping them with the tools necessary to understand and act on the
rapidly changing world of online safety.GirlScouts - NCCP has five girls that serve on the lmk editorial board. For more information about LMK please visit: http://www.nccoastalpines.org/home/join/girlsteens/teengirlscouts/LMK.aspx updated August 23, 2009

This is a new patch from WAGGGS...a perfect program to tie in with World
Thinking Day and the beginning of the 100th Anniversary of WAGGGS (a
three year celebration beginning April 10, 2009).
Download your packet and begin planning. Just a heads up, WAGGGS patches usually sell out quickly...don't wait to long to order them. The Global Action Theme Badge curriculum is an activity pack created to help children and young people learn about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) then take action on the issues that affect them and their communities. Containing over 100 activities set across three levels (Basic, Advanced and Specialist), Member Organizations are encouraged to choose specific activities for each MDG. http://www.wagggsworld.org/en/grab/3450/1/GATcurriculumENG.pdf http://www.wagggsworld.org/en/grab/3335/2/GATguidelinesEng.pdf March 22, 2009 March 15, 2009Looking for something different to do - check out the Activity Page and a new item called

100th Anniversary CampaignAs Girl Scouts of the USA prepares to celebrate its 100th Anniversary, its mission and commitment to girls remain constant. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Looking to the next century of service, the 100th Anniversary Campaign will provide the vital resources to ensure that Girl Scouts continues to inspire, challenge and empower girls to be leaders through programs that are compelling, contemporary and relevant in the 21st century.
Planning for our 100th Anniversary Campaign has begun. In the months ahead, we will begin our campaign prospecting and leadership recruitment efforts. Girl Scouts of the USA's (GSUSA) campaign goal of $100 million will raise vital funds for program curriculum, volunteer leadership development, membership and life experiences endowments and the capital resources needed for renovations of the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace.
