Chatham Middle School Art Club students in grades 5-7 spent the afternoon at Art Omi on May 2nd creating Environmental Sculptures.  Students worked collaboratively in groups to plan, gather natural resources, and create their sculptures.  The work was photographed to record the original artwork as the sculptures will go back to nature over time.     To view more pictures follow this link:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/organize/?start_tab=one_set72157629591402164

    Our Philosophy

Our goal is to teach appreciation of the arts through life-long learning.  Instruction is directed towards encouraging a rich level of creativity.
Courses are taught with a specialized approach offering the students a wide range of experiences in 2-D and 3-D design.  Influenced by ongoing changes in art education the art program in Chatham continues to make room for new methods, new technology and for implementation of art experiences.   The art department has an art program which meets the creative needs of students.  It is the ongoing labor of love and commitment from the art teachers that contributes to the strength of our program.
