Hey Em, Woohoo what a lot to talk about today. Our RWC day finally arrived and Ben and I suited up and headed down to the All Black's match against Canada. What a game to watch! I've never had such good seats before in my life. To me watching rugby at this level never really seems real. When i'm standing on the sidelines watching Ben play, well that's real. When I strategically choose my viewing area to keep out of the path of the wind and the rain and then when it's over running through the rain with a cold to meet him when he's come out of the changing sheds, yeah, that's real too. Well yesterday Ben and I sat eight rows from the front in the stadium. It was just like I was standing and cheering from the sidelines, actually real! It was an amazing game to watch and just fantastic to get in amongst the RWC events. I took well over 100 photos, many of which have now been deleted. I chose this one because I was too busy cheering during the game to take any and this is one of the best moments anyway. I love watching the anthem and the haka. I think it might be a girl thing, it's all emotional and proud and spine-tingling. It sounds so lame but it makes me so proud to be a Kiwi when I see it. So I thought this photo was quite appropriate since I have had so many of these moments throughout the RWC. It's such a great feeling to be singing in the crowd together and watching the boys all linked up, except for #18 who perhaps had upset #3.. who knows. I'm quite sad the game all over now, only another 20 somethings years till perhaps we will have it back. Maybe i'll see them play in another country some time. That would be cool, then i'll be the minority in the crowd. Hopefully nobody will pick an argument with me like the poor Canadian guy behind us. It is funny to hear what people yell out though. I laughed at a lot of them but i can only remember one now. As Brad Thorn was warming up to go out on the pitch a man from behind us yelled out "There's no protection from Brad Thorn" and then "Superman wears Brad Thorn pajamas". LOL, I thought that was a great call. It was cool to see everyone getting into it. We were sitting behind a Canadian fan who I don't think was actually Canadian but was wearing a reindeer suit. He was trying so hard to get on TV. At the start of the game he'd get up and yell "Lets go Canada" and by the end of the game after a few more beers it had deteriorated to "Lets go Canana". Anyway, the boys had a sweet game. I hope these sweet games continue till passed the final to leave us holding the cup! Em 274/365
