Wow! Can you believe it? Look at me creating my own web page! Who says I'm stuck in 1982? Other than Clayton of course....Anyway, about me: I feel so blessed to have enjoyed such a long career doing something I love soo much. I get to come to work everyday, talk to great listeners and have FUN! I have lived in the Coastal Bend since 1982...graduating from Odem High school sometime in the mid-80's. I have been married for nearly 17 years to my Prince Charming, Kirk. Ladies, there are still good ones out there....you just may have to kiss a few toads along the way--Lord knows I did! We have eight, yes EIGHT kids! My oldest two kids no longer live at home. Erica, my oldest daughter is in her second year of college, studying to become a doctor. Then she can take care of mom and dad! We still have three of our own kids at home, as well as three foster kids. Look for their picture under my "photos" link. For legal reasons, I can't post the foster kids pics, but trust me they're adorable. I am a huge advocate of fostering. There just aren't enough homes for kids who are in need of stable, loving families. If you have room in your heart to love a child, then you can foster! As if our life wasn't crazy enough, we also have two dogs, Sadie the Basset hound, and Sophie our rescue puppy. And then there's the cats...Sampson, my 14 year old long haired siamese (the king of the castle) and Sasha, our rescue kitty. Yes, my life is a three ring circus and I'm always juggling thirty things at once, but I wouldn't change a thing!
With Easter this weekend, I thought I would share a recipe that I make with my kids the night before Easter. It's important to me to share the REAL meaning of Easter with my children, as well as having some fun with bunnies, eggs, candy and more. It's a CELEBRATION!
