MISSION

Action against Impunity in Africa Inc (AIA) is a  public charity organization recognized on 07/11/2002 as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

 

AIA is a non-profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, and especially, for the purpose of defending human and civil rights secured by law, of providing legal assistance to victims of human and civil rights abuses, of promoting the knowledge of human and civil rights, and of helping incorporate human and civil rights laws  into legal systems.

 

All donations made to AIA and to AIA projects are tax deductible.

 

For your tax reporting purposes, check that  AIA employer identification number is mentioned on your donation receipt.

 

 

 

 

 ACTION AGAINST IMPUNITY (AIA)

IS CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS:

 

1- THE LEGAL AID WATCH (LAW) PROJECT

 

LAW is a web journalism project with the purpose of pushing through the agenda for universal, equal legal defense and the mission of using independent, citizen-driven journalists and active citizens to demonstrate that denying equal access to legal defense is discrimination.

LAW's Independent, citizen-driven journalists, along with active citizens who will be involved, are committed to contribute in bridging “the gap between the lofty promise of equal justice and the often disappointing reality of justice on the ground.” This is done through monitoring the U.S. legal system and exposing the wrongs and flaws found during investigative reportings and analyses about issues related to the U.S. legal system.

2- THE AFRICAN INDEPENDENT (TAI) PROJECT

 

TAI is a web journalism project with the purpose of connecting audiences to their African roots, cultures, and disappearing values. TAI's mission is showing a fair picture of experiences, issues, solutions, unbiased news, and food-for-thought articles and graphics about African descent people’s communities in the world.

Journalism can take the position as solver, as opposed to the simple observer it is taught to be, in situations where people need a bridge to saving resources. TAI is committed to establishing and maintaining the bridge that would give the African descent people access to African civilization.

3- THE CAMEROON'S NETWORK FOR CHARITY (CNC) PROJECT

 

CNC is a framework that gives the Cameroonian Diaspora, Friends of Cameroon and any persons with goodwill the opportunity to show their generosity and their solidarity with the People suffering and struggling for the survival of the motherland.

 

CNC est un cadre  qui permet à la Diaspora camerounaise, aux amis du Cameroun et à toutes les personnes de bonne volonté de manifester leur générosité et leur solidarité avec le Peuple souffrant et combattant pour la survie de la mère patrie.
