MEMBERSHIP MEETING UPDATE, May 9, 2009
Dear Members,
We want to Thank Anthony Lucia, President of NAPE 4, for hosting our Chapter 146 meeting on May 7, 2009.
At this pivotal point in our fight against rogue bills and political power plays, we must get the word out to as many people as we can and empower them with the tools
to accomplish our tasks at hand.
We are happy to report that 40 people packed the Ludlow, MA
Mason Hall to hear from those who know exactly what we face.
We also learned what to do about it. I hope that you can make
our future meetings.
Important Points: 1. We need to step up our letter writing campaign!!
2. The letters that you send must come back to us so that we can present them at the hearings.
3. We are going to need all of you to attend the hearings. Hopefully we’ll have enough forewarning for you to schedule a day off for the event. We’re going to need manpower to pack the house, so PLAN ON IT!!! What do you think the impact of a 1000 person force showing up against HB.2208 and SB.917 would do? It would blast them right out of the water!!!!
4. Inform your Representatives and Senators step by step so that they can join us in protesting these assaults on public safety. In other words, a few letters sent cannot be the end all be all of our campaign. Make the phone calls and get on a first name basis with their aides.
5. If you are confused as to HOW to do all this, simply email us and we will work with you every step of the way.
