Your Community Voice for Quality Education in Kettle Moraine
Legislative Action Presentation Follow-up Can you feel the momentum? People are starting recognize the budget challenges that face Kettle Moraine, and, even better than that, they are ready to do something to make sure that our community continues to have the best schools in the state. We are grateful for this feedback from a member of our audience who attended the "Legislative Action" presentation on January 15, 2010: "What a great meeting this morning!! Very informative and clear for simple-minded people like myself...I know I don't have all the answers...I'm not sure I have any...but I too believe in public education..for some of us..its all we have. I called 3 of my friends this morning..." For those who were unable to attend, we have posted David's presentation on YouTube: Because of the limitations of YouTube, we needed to edit down to 2 10-minute segments (so don't expect award-winning quality! :-)) but the message is clear, concise and undeniable. We must be engaged and work together as a community to find solutions. NOW, what else can you do? 1.) Mark your calendar to attend one of the Budget Conversations presented by Superintendent Pat Deklotz: Feb. 2, 6:30 @ Kettle Moraine High School Feb. 16, 6:30 @ Kettle Moraine Middle School 2.) Call 5 friends and ask them to join you. 3.) Continue to talk with others in our community about what you value in our KM education. Champions for Excellence (CFE) is a community organization dedicated to supporting public education in the Kettle Moraine school district -- by providing factual information about local & state-level initiatives and policies and advocating on behalf of our schools. |
