A Chalet for Cycling around Vaujany

Built on a site chosen specifically for its convenience for both ski and summer sports, chalet Verney is located between the valley floor and Vaujany village. For cycling the classic alpine 'cols' the chalet location is second to none!

Situated on the Col du Sabot mountain road itself which is a major (though lesser known) climb often referred to as 'Le Petit Mont Ventoux' given its average gradient of 8.9%. See below link:

A Chalet for Skiing in Vaujany

With easy local ski lift access (3 minutes drive) to the famous Alpe d'Huez ski (Grandes Rousses) domain, chalet Verney offers you some of the most varied piste skiing in the French Alps, if not the world, catering well for all abilities although perhaps favouring the intermediate skier and those with families.

With pistes from 1250-3330m, Vaujany combines an authentic mountain village with the most up-to-date ski facilities such as a 160-man lift system (one of the largest and fastest in the world).

The skiing around Vaujany is not only picturesque but superb particularly on the village side, with a mighty vertical of 2230m, known as the 'Champagne Run' and claimed to be the longest pisted ski run in the Alps. And to top it all, queuing is virtually unknown in Vaujany!

For further information on skiing in Vaujany:

If serious offpiste is your preference, the world famous ‘La Grave La Meije’ ski area is less than an hours picturesque drive away and thoroughly recommended if your ability allows!
The ski resorts of Les Deux Alpes and Chamrousse are also within an hours drive of the chalet.
