1.) To bring the Gospel (good news) to all mankind. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. To encourage and support one another in our faith in Christ Jesus. Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 3.) To follow the teachings of Christ by serving him and mankind. Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
