Overall, the purpose of our team's trip to Burundi is to help a Burundian pastor, Felicien.  He has a vision for his nation.  This includes building schools to keep kids off the streets and to give them a good education, planting more churches (he already has planted many), and working to eliminate poverty from a nation mired in a cycle of poverty.  Please check out the section about Felicien for more information about him and his ministry.

Our team is going to help Felicien in his ministry as well as embark on some of our own adventures related to an organization we are starting.  The purpose of the organization is to contribute positively to the Burundian people.  We will help Felicien's base church in Bujumbura by helping them write worship songs in their native language, Kirundi, and by helping with construction projects.  Felicien would also like to take us around the small nation to see his other church plants and to see how we might be able to help the those churches.  We will be building desks and chairs as well as developing a curriculum so that Felicien can get his school running.  In addition, we plan on establishing different methods of reducing poverty in the world's poorest nation (my role).
