We are a family, like many families in the world, with a loved one or loved ones, who have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
Our son, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2004, when he was 14 years old, and through the years, we have witnessed first hand, a life with diabetes!
Lighting Candles for Diabetes Research and Finding a Cure is our personal project, dedication and commitment to educating people from around the world, of the many lives affected by diabetes! We strive for diabetics from around the world, to list their name, type of diabetes, and year of diagnosis on this public site, for all to see, so people, from AROUND the WORLD, TOGETHER, can join in the Dedication to Diabetes Research and Finding a Cure - as a Family of One - because, remember, we are a family of one, joined together by this terrible disease!
