POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS

1. Injustice against Juveniles

This PowerPoint presentation is a short narrative on the injustice against juveniles (under the age of 18) currently being tried as adults in the U.S. criminal system. The visuals, testimonies, scientific research, and voices who speak in the presentation all reveal how our criminal system has taken a devious path with respect to thousands of incarcerated youth who are forced to serve time in adult prisons and serve life sentences without parole.

2. Restorative Justice

This PowerPoint presentation outlines the method and goal of restorative justice. Special emphasis is made on the idea of actively engaging victims, offenders, and the community in restorative processes, which gives the viewer the opportunity to see how he or she might able to effectively address the causes and harm from broken interpersonal relationships, something which the criminal system too often fails to do, Different restorative justices models are suggested, as well as important questions that can help us evaluate restorative practices.

3. Restorative Justice for the Incarcerated (1.6 MB)

This PowerPoint presentation is directed specifically at individuals who are incarcerated. The first half focuses on the theoretical aspects of restorative justice, while the second half provides practical ideas for restorative living in prison and in detention halls. The presentation, in a certain way, is an invitation to the incarcerated to become aware of their self-value and to recognize their role in restorative justice processe.
