Harewood

Harewood School  S. D, #4112  1922 -1944

Harewood School was located a few miles south of Dewberry.  The name “Harewood” was chosen in memory of the Earl of Harewood in England.  After Harewood School closed , the building was moved into Dewberry where it served as a classroom.  The building was later moved to Marwayne.

July 29, 2008 saw a a group of former students and interested neighbors meet at the school site  to help with the  installation of the school site marker.  Memories were shared and pictures were taken.  Mrs. Iris Hodgson arranged the day for us.
