Spices for cooking fish - Fine home cooking - Prepare cooking. Spices For Cooking Fish
Glorified Fish Sticks Glorified fish sticks are the tastiest of tasty things, very easy to make and relatively cheap. Here is what you do: Ingredients: Breaded fish filets/fish sticks (filets work better) Veggie Bacon - at least one strip for each fish filet Broccoli Maple Syrup Soy sauce Oil - preferably canola or olive, but any will work. Ginger and other asian-esque spices Optional (For decoration): Tortilla Wrap each fish filet with the bacon, tucking the two unjoined ends underneath. Put them all next to eachother in the middle of the pan. Fill in the empty space of the pan with broccoli. Sprinkle your spices on top. Once you finish that, drizzle your syrup over everything. It doesn't have to be a whole lot. After that, drizzle oil over the whole thing. And then goes the soy sauce. You might wish to add a little water as well. The syrup will act as a glaze for your tasty foods. Heat up for maybe half an hour, as long as it takes to cook the fish. If you do the tortilla thing, cut the tortilla into desired shapes and place on the food after it is cooked. TASTY. Fish Dinner
This is the fish we had for dinner. It is very quick and simple Tilapia filets (20 oz) Salt & pepper to taste 2 tsp ground cumin 2 tsp ground coriander 1/4 cup cilantro mango, diced (optional) Mix together the salt, pepper, cumin and coriander. Coat both sides of the fish with the spice mixture. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add a little olive oil and cook the fish 3-5 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with the cilantro and mango when complete. So quick and very, very tasty. We didn't have any mango, so we skipped that part.
