ABOUT MARLENE

Marlene is an experienced psychotherapist who has worked treating families, couples, individuals, adolescents and children. In 1998 she obtained her Psychology degree and Licensure in University of Costa Rica.
 
She achieved Graduation with Distinction and Publication recommendation for her final Thesis in Discipline in the classroom with adolescents of 9th grade.
 
In Texas she obtained a Master’s degree in Family Therapy at Texas Woman’s University.  
 

Marlene developed most of her professional performance in her home country Costa Rica. While working at her private practice she gained experience in sexual abuse, domestic violence, and drug addiction problems.

 

 
Besides the experience as psychotherapist Marlene has been an instructor and developer of several seminars and workshops about self esteem, human relations, sexuality, discipline with children and adolescents, and many other topics related to couples and families.
