All I want for Christmas is... Centre Stage!

Committee

The current committee for 2009 - 2010 is:

President
- Cortina Henderson
Cortina became Centre Stage's first ever President in 2007 after 16 years with the group, including many as Chairwoman. Cortina thanks all the many casts, crews, production teams and audiences for their unending support over the years.

Chair - Victoria Shooter
PR girl Victoria took her first steps onto the glittering world of the stage when she portrayed a falling leaf aged 5. She went on to play Dr. Faustus, Anybody's a pirate, a prostitute and several particularly testing roles of 'Genteel Lady'. Victoria joined Centre Stage in 2001 and has loved rehearsing with the group ever since.

Secretary
- Lynsey Thomas
Lynsey joined Centre Stage in 2007 debuting as 'Woman 1' in Bat Boy, and has been a regular cast member ever since. She became Secretary in 2008 and loves being part of the back stage machine. She looks forward to heckling from the audience at the back of the hall during All I want for Christmas is... Centre Stage!

Treasurer - Murray Grant
Murray joined Centre Stage for Anything Goes in 2006 and has been in every show since. He is taking time out from the latest show but is once again keeping an eye on the Centre Stage bank balance in his role as group treasurer.

Business Manager
- Cheryl Richards
Cheryl joined Centre Stage in 2003 and has never looked back. After a year off for good behaviour, she is on remand in her original committee position as Business Manager. Solicitor by day and performer by night, Cheryl has enjoyed singing and dancing since she was a little girl. She comes from a small rural town in Cornwall and was pleased to find so many friendly faces at Centre Stage when she moved to London. Cheryl will be married in June 2010 and will become Cheryl Gurnham.

Marketing Manager - Dan McLoughlin
Dan's curtain up with Centre Stage happened in 2006 when he joined the cast for their successful run of A Chorus Line. Despite having to high kick in a glittery gold catsuit, Dan returned for more, taking on roles in Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie, I ♥ Centre Stage and is currently getting festive for All I want for Christmas is...Centre Stage! Notable roles include the Munchkin Mayor in Wizard of Oz, the donkey in his school nativity and a memorable performance as the Green Man in Traffic Light, a five-minute play about a pedestrian crossing!! Dan is looking forward to marketing two great shows during his tenure as Marketing Manager: All I want for Christmas is... Centre Stage! in winter 2009 and Footloose in summer 2010.

Membership Secretary
- Ashlin McMillan

A native of Denver, Colorado, USA, Ashlin has been a fan of all things lovely and artistic since she can remember. She began studying classical piano at the age of three and music continues to be an obsession. She is also a classical flautist, classical and jazz singer and dabbles in film. Ashlin joined Centre Stage in 2008 for Calamity Jane and looks forward to being involved with many more successful shows to come.

Social Secretary - Robert Kennedy

Robert made his Centre Stage debut in Anything Goes in 2006. After Bat Boy (his favourite production yet) he joined the committee as social secretary whilst continuing to tread the boards. After some time off for good behaviour where he travelled the globe, he returned as Producer for Thoroughly Modern Millie. Robert's spare time is filled with textiles, baking, trips to Liverpool, skiing and, of course, musical theatre. Back on the committee and in the cast, Robert eagerly awaits the year ahead and welcomes you to Centre Stage.

Committee Assistant
- Ed Walsh
Ed hails from Tipperary in the Republic of Ireland. Musical theatre and drama are in Ed's blood having been raised by a mother who is a props mistress and aunt who directs. Ed trained in his teenage years with Firkin Crane Dance Theatre & Cork City Ballet before moving to dance in Europe and finally settling in London. Ed stepped back on stage for the first time in four years for Centre Stage's revival of Calamity Jane. After thoroughly enjoying the experience, Ed is now glam assistant to the committee. "Once you become part of the Centre Stage family you will never want to leave!"
