Central School's Remembrance Day Assembly Thursday November 10th November 10th students at Central School participated in a Remembrance Day Assembly. The guest speaker was Mr. Chisholm from Regina Saskatchewan. He was a member of the Canadian Infantry Regina Rifles D Company and a Veteran of World War II. He participated in the Juno Beach and D Day invasions as well as the Liberation of Holland. His father was a World War I vet who was involved in Vimy Ridge. His grandson is an alumni of Central School. The swastika was taken from one of the battles during the war. Other items at the assembly include: Recorder club song "Rhapsondy on a Civil War Ballad", Grade 2 song "Poppies", Grade 5 Poem "A Wish", Chior song "There will be Peace" and a school song "Song of Peace. Each week on Friday, Central School students gather at 9:00 in our Auditorium for our weekly assembly. The purpose of our assemblies is to build our school community, focus on our virtues, practice leadership share our learning and have fun. Assemblies are open to parents and Central School families.
