Post date: Jul 2, 2020 4:03:20 PM

Central Ohio Traffic Net (COTN) recently completed its operation in Field Day, the annual amateur radio exercise demonstrating and testing the ability to operate in field conditions similar to what might be called for in an emergency.

Offering message-routing services for the ten counties of American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Ohio Section Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) District 7, COTN operated eight net sessions, took forty station check-ins, moved thirty-four messages, and operated for seven hours and fifty-nine minutes over two days. Franklin, Marion, Licking, Delaware, Fairfield, and Union counties all had stations joining the nets.

The complete accounting for our operation can be found on the COTN web site's reports section at http://www.cotn.us/reports; see COTN AAR FIELD DAY 2020.

Thanks to all participating stations, and we look forward to working with you again.
