Central New York Chapter

Welcome to the Central New York Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America.  Formed in 1989 by conservationists, anglers, hunters, and nature lovers, the Central New York Chapter has worked to conserve, maintain, protect, and restore  central New York's soil, air, woodlands, waters, and wildlife.  Our chapter's activities provide youth and adults with hands-on opportunities to learn about, monitor, and conserve our region's natural resources, while also encouraging the enjoyment and sustainable use of those resources.

Please use the navigation links to learn more about our chapter and activities.  A link to the Izaak Walton League of America site is also provided; that site will keep you up-to-date on national environmental and conservation Izaak Walton issues.

If our overall mission and activities interest you, please consider becoming involved with our grass roots conservation activities.  From stream monitoring to youth fishing clinics to environmental education programs,  there are ample opportunities for your energy and talents to help us fulfill our mission. We invite you to attend our meetings and welcome you to join our chapter!
