Home Gym stuff

I wanted to post some information on making a home gym and home gym equipment.  This is all new to me and I'm no expert, but I hope it could help someone else.
For this reason I'm not going to write out instructions and I'll just post the links where I found the information and the photos of the stuff I made.
I did tweak a few things so if you have any questions email me: centcomsurvivor@gmail.com

Slosh Tube:

This thing will kick your butt!

Balance board:

You could pay almost $100.00 for a "indo board" or make your own.  I ended up using a piece of garage mat (the kind that link together) instead of wrapping the pvc pipe with a yoga mat as some people do.  You defiantly have to use something to slow the pvc pipe down.

Home made fast rope (climbing rope):

I was looking for a climbing rope and I quickly found they cost a lot of money.  I posted around on a few forums asking how to make one.
Crossfit.com (which normally is really helpful) had an article on how to make one, but I quickly found no one wanted to post the directions as you had to be a paid subscriber.  After a few back and forths someone finally emailed me the directions (shhh don't tell).
While all that was going on Bryan over at ITS Tactical replied that they were working on a Knot of the Week on how to make a "fast rope".  The article can be found here:  How to Make a Fast Rope for Climbing
The rope pictured below is a test rope made out of low cost nylon rope from Lowe's.  The top loops are not the recommended method, but since my kids will use this rope its fine.  It can also be used for things like pulling a tire or sled.  At some point I'll make one out of better rope and splice a loop at the top.

More details to come..... the concrete is still settling.

Home made suspension rings:

I found this over at Ross Training and it works great.
