Festival Eclectic 2007

Después de cinco ediciones el Festival Eclectic 2007 tendrá lugar los días 13, 19, 20, 21 y 26 de julio, con una programación artística y cultural variopinta.

El Festival Eclèctic arranca la noche del viernes, 13 de julio con el espectáculo “Canciones, antes de una guerra” de la bailaora y coreógrafa María Pagés. Los días 19 y 26 de julio, en la sala de proyecciones del Hemisfèric, se ofrecerá “Las Nocturnas”, una sesión de planetario acompañada por música en la que los asistentes podrán conocer el cielo estival guiados por astrónomos.

El viernes 20 de julio, a partir de las 19.00 h y durante 8 horas, el reciclaje será el protagonista en los exteriores de la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias los espectáculos al aire libre de Eclectic Nit en el que se darán cita diferentes artistas que han reconducido su trabajo transformando residuos en instrumentos musicales, espacios escénicos o vestuarios para sus actuaciones.

Y como fin de fiesta del Eclectic el sábado 21 de julio tendrá lugar el concierto de “Morcheeba”. El grupo británico interpretará los temas de su último trabajo “The antidote”.

About two minutes walk from calle Caballeros. This darkly lit bar plays the finest jazz with cool photos on display, a pool table and a wide range of coffees and spirits. It has fortnightly live music and it is a very relaxing place to unwind and -relate. The owner is a real Jazz lover and it shows. Live music nights at 9.30 for 3 euros with boccadillos available.

Normally play rock ‘n’ roll, but with occasional soul, blues and Caribbean. Music is followed by a ‘literary jam’ such as a bit of theatre or a book presentation. Concerts usually on Sundays. Look out for the huge Jimi Hendrix Mural outside. Faaar out, maaaan.

The Divine comedy, Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Weller, Supergrass and countless others passed through the door's of Roxy Club, one of Valencia’s best live music venues for pop and rock. Now Sala Cormorán, this nightclub popular with a young crowd has recently been housing lots more live events. Will they live up to Roxy's legacy? We'll just have to wait and see!
