Hydrogen Peroxide Contact Lens Solution
hydrogen peroxide
- Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a very pale blue liquid, slightly more viscous than water, that appears colorless in dilute solution. It has strong oxidizing properties, and is a powerful bleaching agent. It is used as a disinfectant, antiseptic, oxidizer, and in rocketry as a propellant.
- a viscous liquid with strong oxidizing properties; a powerful bleaching agent; also used (in aqueous solutions) as a mild disinfectant and (in strong concentrations) as an oxidant in rocket fuels
- A colourless liquid, H2O2, soluble in water, used as a mild antiseptic, bleaching agent (especially for bleaching hair), oxidizing agent and chemical reagent
- A colorless, viscous, unstable liquid with strong oxidizing properties, commonly used in diluted form in disinfectants and bleaches
contact lens
- A contact lens (also known simply as a contact) is a corrective, cosmetic, or therapeutic lens usually placed on the cornea of the eye.
- A thin lens, made of flexible or rigid plastic, that is placed directly on to the eye to correct vision, used as an alternative to spectacles, or, if coloured, to change one's eye color cosmetically
- A thin plastic lens placed directly on the surface of the eye to correct visual defects
- contact: a thin curved glass or plastic lens designed to fit over the cornea in order to correct vision or to deliver medication
solution
- Products or services designed to meet a particular need
- a method for solving a problem; "the easy solution is to look it up in the handbook"
- A means of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation
- a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances; frequently (but not necessarily) a liquid solution; "he used a solution of peroxide and water"
- a statement that solves a problem or explains how to solve the problem; "they were trying to find a peaceful solution"; "the answers were in the back of the book"; "he computed the result to four decimal places"
- The correct answer to a puzzle
Rodinal Colour Developer Test
This is Ektacolor 160, developed for 1 hour, 22c, 1+100 in Rodinal with 20 mL/litre of Hydrogen Peroxide 3% added. Also fix only, bleach bypass (did a scan after going back and bleach and fixing this piece, but results are kinda shitty), I'd probably back off to 45 minute or 30 minute stand with this, as combined with the bleach bypass, the density was already at the scanner's peak so got some scanner noise from setting levels. After fixing I left it sitting in some more rodinal + peroxide to try and increase the colour level.
Better Living Through Chemistry 04
Kodak Gold 200 developed in caffenol-c*. After fixing the film I soaked it in 3% Hydrogen Peroxide for a half hour. I'm going to need to try this again. * 6tsp generic instant coffee 1000mg of vitamin c at ~24c for 15 minutes. Not all of the vitamin c dissolved; if it had I would have only developed for 10~12 minutes.
