Another great NFL season has come to a close. In what will probably go down as the biggest upset in NFL history (if not of ALL sports history), the 18-0 undefeated New England Patriots team was defeated by a team that, until recently, was marked by their exceptional mediocrity, the New York (Jersey) Giants. By giving up a touchdown in the final moments of Super Bowl XLII, the Patriots managed to lose outright in a game where they were favored by 14 points, further solidifying their place in sports failure history. Getting caught maliciously cheating was clearly not enough to mark their failure.
