16th October  Sussex League and Sevenoaks Matches   

Topaz played their first Sussex League match for this season at K2.  This was looking  like it was going to be a close match as Topaz had narrowly lost to Rudgwick in the Sussex Junior Tournament. From the beginning though the team started strongly competing for every ball. The shooters were on form and soon took the lead. Topaz went from strength to strength and finally won 20 -8.

Lavenders played their first Sevenoaks League match against fellow club mates Aqua.  This was always going to be a competitive match and both teams played some good netball. Lavenders went on to win 29-19.                          

25th September Sussex Junior Tournament

Both under 13 teams entered the Sussex tournament.  For Topaz it was a new combination of players and it took awhile for them to get comfortable playing together. Highlight of the tournament for Topaz was Amy's spectacular goal from the edge of the circle. Hopefully as the season progresses they will win more matches.

Lavenders started well but then lost their focus before finally coming back strongly. Even though they weren't always playing their best they still managed to win all their matches and so won the U13 age group. Congratulations to all the players in Lavenders!

 

Lavenders travelled to the ASCO tournament last Saturday. This was the first tournament for this new combination of players. They began really strongly and gained some super wins. Unfortunately as the day progressed and a number of girls gained injuries they faltered slightly. Eventually the team finished a creditable 3rd. Well done, girls!
