The South West Area Recreation Guild (SWARG) has developed and promoted a bursary to aid in providing financial assistance to a student from the tri-county region (Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton) in his or her education in the field of recreation, human kinetics, health promotion or related field. We are pleased to have recognized and supported the education of students from Southwestern Ontario for 11 years.  Students must have maintained a B average while continuing their education in Recreation Studies.

 

With your studies, job, sports and club activities, and volunteer work, you accomplish more each day than some people do in a week. That’s why the Wendy’s Classic Achiever® Scholarship Awards Program exists: to recognize graduating Canadian high school students like you who excel in academics, extracurricular activities and community service. And to encourage you to keep up the good work as you advance to college or university.

 

Students are invited to participate in the "Why Family Matters Graduating Student Writing Contest". Grade 12 students are encouraged to write an essay of no more than 1,000 words on the importance of family.
