Allan Simpson Educational Fund Awards
The Allan Simpson Educational Fund was established in May 2002 to assist with the costs of post secondary education for young people who are full orphans (both parents deceased). The annual awards are available to qualified applicants in their quest for a post secondary education and will be renewable if the applicant maintains a passing average as a full time student at the University or College.

Faculty of Human Kinetics Book Award Programme
These awards have been presented annually, since 1982, to graduating students from each secondary school in Windsor and Essex County. Recipients are outstanding young scholars, have participated in sport (though not necessarily as a player), and show leadership in extracurricular activities.

Diabetes Hope Foundation Scholarship
The Hope Scholarship Program highlights the personal triumphs of young adults who face the many responsibilities associated with diabetes management all the while significantly enriching their lives through community and extra-curricular activities and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Each of these young adults has accomplished what others in their position try to do: they have allowed themselves to be people with diabetes with hopes and plans to succeed and pursue life's challenges.

The purpose of The Miller Thomson Foundation National Scholarship is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for individuals who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement, have made a positive contribution to their school through involvement in extracurricular activities and have made significant contributions of time and energy to community service programmes.

Dalhousie strives to recognize the impressive academic, extra-curricular, and leadership achievements of the many excellent students who apply each year. Dalhousie entrance scholarships range from $500 to $40,000 over 4 years.

Major Sunil Gupta Memorial Scholarship
This award is available to Gr. 12 students who intend to pursue a post-secondary education, and have at least one parent who is a descendant of one of the South Asian countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indian, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka). They should be active volunteers and have an interest in South Asian cultures. The award is worth $500.

The Garfield Weston Awards program was established in 1999 by the generous contribution and vision of The W. Garfield Weston Foundation. Administered by the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation, the program is designed to recognize outstanding college-bound students who show a strong commitment to their fields of study and are interested in making positive contributions to their communities.

The Hatch Entrance Scholarships are provided exclusively for students qualifying for admission to an Engineering 1 program in the Fall/Winter session of 2010/2011 as full-time students. Applicants must have at least a 95% average, have leadership experience, have extra-curricular and community involvement, and have 2 reference letters.

Awarding a Padgett Scholarship in your area demonstrates your sensitivity to the needs of small business owners. In order to help business owners find adequate funding for their children's education, the Padgett Business Services Foundation Scholarship Program has been developed. The program provides educational opportunities for dependent children of owners of businesses with fewer than 20 employees. Eligibility requirements are stated on the application and in the brochure.
