Hi my name is Claudia Ch. Garcia. I am 18 years old and living in Oakland, California. I am about to graduate from Oakland Unity High School on June 12, 2008 and attending San Francisco State University in the fall of 2008.

Interests/Hobbies:

I am really interested in helping out my community. I am involved with the Spanish Speaking Citizens Foundation. I am currently in Raza Leadership Program and has attended for 2 years. Now, I am an intern as a teacher to teach Raza history at a middle school, United for Success. We teach about indigenous customs, the Pachuco's era (Zoot Suits), political organizations like the Black Panthers, the Young Lords, the Brown Berets, etc. We teach students from 6th-8th grade. 

Also, I am really interested in music. I love all kinds of music, from oldies, to salsa, cumbias, reggae, and many more.  I love many artists and groups like Malo, Carlos Santana, The Bloodstones, Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Bob Marley, Ozomatli, Orishas, etc. Also many underground/local artists like Ise Lyfe, The Brown Buffalo Project, Lady Trajik, and many more.
