What You Can Do

The PTO is made up of parents just like you so there is something for everyone.
  • Volunteer: There are lots of opportunities for volunteering--even if you only have an hour to spare. Go to the Committees page for a listing of volunteer opportunities or email us at cedarcreekpto@gmail.com.
  • Did you know you are always welcome to volunteer in your child's classroom? Contact his or her teacher to coordinate a time.
No time to volunteer? There are still ways you can help:
  • Target REDcard: Apply for and use your Target REDcard and designate CCE as your donation choice.  As part of the Take Charge of Education program, Target will contribute a percentage your REDcard purchases to CCE. Apply online >
  • HyVee Receipts: We all buy groceries and if you shop at one of the Olathe HyVee stores, don't throw that receipt away! Send your HyVee grocery receipts to school with your child and drop in the HyVee box in the front office. As part of Dollar$ for $cholars, HyVee will contribute $1 for every $150 in receipts to CCE.  Receipts are collected and turned in quarterly. Easy money!
  • Box Tops: Clip and collect box tops from products you already use at home as part of the BoxTops4Education program. Each Box Top is worth 10¢ for the school -- that can add up quickly! There is a box in the front office to drop them in. From cereal to Kleenex to Ziplock bags to Avery office products, the list is long.  Look for the pink BoxTops coupon on items in your home and office or see the complete list eligible products and start clipping!
  • Paper Recycling: Don't put your old papers, magazines and junk mail at the end of your curb! Bring them to one of the green and yellow Paper Retriever recycling bins for paper in the school parking lots to help the school earn money.
  • Papa John's Pizza Nights: Simply order from Olathe Papa John's on the designated Pizza Nights, give completed coupon to your delivery driver, and Papa John's will donate up to 25% of sales to CCE. Additionally, classroom with the highest total wins a pizza party.  Watch for the flyer with coupon in your child's backpack, here and on Facebook.
  • Golf Tournament: The 2nd Annual CCE Golf Tournament will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at Prairie Highlands golf course. All money raised is earmarked to playground enhancements.  We had a great turnout last year and hope for even more this year. This is not limited to CCE parents so grab 3 of your friends for a foursome and help us raise even more. Sign up online or print the registration form here > (See a slideshow from the 2010 event)
  • Corporate Matching: Do you work for a company that has a corporate matching gifts program? If so, donations you make could possibly be doubled by requesting corporate matching.  Learn more >
