Committee plans our annual Carnival where CCE families come together to enjoy an evening of family fun. Carnival activity booths, food, and prizes are included. It will be held in the Spring.

Committee meets after school to plan and do community service projects with students from the 1st through the 6th grade.

The committee obtains wish lists from the teachers and puts the gift ideas on paper ornaments displayed on a tree for families to select a gift that will benefit their classrooms.

 

HOSPITALITY

The committee is ready to help any student’s or staff member’s family in case of a major family crisis. The committee also provides an evening meal for the staff during fall and spring conferences. The committee also provides a meal for the staff during Teacher Appreciation Week.

 

SUNSHINE CLUB

This committee help any student's or staff members family in case of a major family crisis.  This may include providing meals or service for these families during their times of need.  Examples include but are not limted to medical leave, prolonged illness, and funerals.

 
LABELS FOR EDUCATION

Chairperson will collect and submit General Mills box tops, be the liaison with the company and periodically remind parents to continue to save the labels.

 

LANDSCAPE

PTO Committee chair will supervise upkeep of existing work.  The committee will ensure the beauty of Cedar Creek Elementary by coordinating routine landscape service or community workdays. 
 
MEET THE TEACHER

Sign-ups for classrooms and PTO committees available for parents to volunteer.  Spirit wear and yearbooks are available to order.  The principal speaks and parents hear a presentation from their child’s teacher regarding the upcoming school year.

Chairperson works with the art teacher during the school year to have each child’s own artwork professionally reproduced and made into a variety of high quality products for the student’s family to purchase.

  

RECYCLING - PAPER & INK CARTRIDGES

Committee coordinates with the school and recycling company to provide recycling for the community.  Committee also collects and submits used ink cartridges. Chairperson will work with the recycling company and remind parents to continue to save cartridges.

 

ROOM PARENT COORDINATOR

Chairperson gathers room parent signup lists from all teachers after Meet the Teacher night. She makes a master list and makes sure each room parent has a list of volunteers from their classroom. She hands out ‘Party Guidelines’ to all room parents.

PTO committee chair works with the school staff to develop a logo that promotes the school theme for the upcoming school year.  The chair will order all spirit wear and coordinate school sales of spirit wear throughout the year.  The chair and committee members will secure all spirit wear orders, delivery of spirit wear, collection of money, and provide customer service regarding spirit wear.

SHELVING CEDAR CREEK LIBRARY BOOKS

This committee would help the librarians to shelve books on a regular basis.  The committee chair would coordinate these efforts with the volunteers and librarians.  It would be great if the volunteers could shelve books once a month for an hour.
