Trophies

Perpetual Trophies
 

A number of perpetual trophies have been donated to the fleadh, and are awarded each year, for a period of one year.

If you have won such a trophy, while it is in your custody, please have your name added to it. Take the trophy to any local trophy shop, and for a nominal fee they will engrave your name in a manner to match the others already on the trophy. In case of doubt, the following info will help the trophy shop:

At the end of the year, please return perpetual trophies to the fleadh office on the morning of the competition to which it pertains. If you cannot attend the fleadh, or if you have any questions regarding perpetual trophies, please contact Patty Furlong at pattyfurlong@aol.com.

Perpetual trophies are retired when all the places for winner name plaques have been filled. Retired trophies are refurbished and donated to the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann North America Archive, which is maintained at the Irish Music Center at Boston College.

The list below sets out the perpetual trophies currently in circulation. As you will see, many competitions do not yet have a perpetual trophy, and are only awaiting your generous donation.
