Risk Statement - Important for all Members or Prospective

To promote and foster the safe and enjoyable sailing and cruising in sailing yachts, this Risk Statement clarifies the risks and responsibilities of members attending or participating in Coastal Cruising Club of Australia Inc. (the Club) activities.

Members acknowledge and accept that.

  1. Participation in events organised by the Club may involve certain risks which include the possibility of harm or damage to its vessels, equipment or persons inherently associated with the perils of the sea or weather.
  2. Such risks will require the exercise of the prior judgment of members on behalf of themselves, their guests and invitees whether to commence or continue any particular activity irrespective of information supplied by Club officers.
  3. It is the responsibility of individual members and/or skippers to determine whether or not to undertake or continue any passage or activity.
  4. Information provided by the Club through its meetings, publications or activities is intended as a guide only and is not necessarily endorsed by the Club.

It is strongly recommended that members have appropriate public liability insurance for their vessels and their occupants.

About Us: Coastal Cruising Club of Australia Inc.

Established 1969
P.O. Box 113
Cammeray N.S.W. 2062

The Coastal Cruising Club of Australia (C.C.C.A.) is a Club whose members are concerned mainly with the fellowship of cruising.

Club meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except December) at 7.30pm at the Sydney Amateur Sailing Club, Green Street, Cremorne. At the meetings we are entertained either by a guest speaker, a member relating the experiences of a recent cruise, or a discussion night on a subject relative to our interests.

We hope you  wish to join with us in sharing the camaraderie of the Coastal Cruising Club of Australia with the collective wisdom of like minded Members, who pursue the challenges of the Cruising Lifestyle with a genuine love and respect for the oceans we sail on.

Membership

Full Members: Boats are found in Sydney Harbour, Port Hacking and  Pittwater/Broken Bay. Once a month the club has a “Sailaway” to some local destination in Sydney Harbour and Pittwater / Broken Bay area - or a combined sailaway where one group visits the other’s home port.    A major cruise is organised annually just after Christmas for up to three weeks, with past destinations being Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Yamba or Jervis Bay, Batemans Bay, Eden and Gabo Island. The Easter cruise is a joint sailaway either to the harbour or Broken Bay.
