Links to the lead sheets are on the "Songs" page over on the left ;-)
Allen, we missed you! The lead sheet for "Fail Us Not" isn't there because it's in PDF. I will post it in Word when I get it done. I'll also put up Youtube links and MP3s as available.
Jeremy, you had three new ones too but we kind of ran out of time. Next week? |

Phyllis needs to move the choir practice back to Weds night. We tried Sunday after the service, but with business meetings, the pastor running long, and people having guests in town they ned to feed, it isn't working. It was Weds at 7pm. She's moved it to Weds 6:30pm. Choir practice will be done at 7:30pm so that we can practice then. If this creates issues for anyone, speak up!

OK, so you know one of the wonderful things about modern Christian music is that the lyrics MEAN something, and can make you think, right? A lot of times while I'm listening to a song it will remind me of the tone or the message in a traditional Baptist hymn, and vice versa. And sometimes when I'm thinking of a traditional Baptist hymn, it will remind me of a more modern version of that same hymn. And we had such an awesome practice last week doing several classics a capella, and Krista gave me this CD from the Martins of all a capella tunes, and I was listening to Jeremy Camp, and this .... mix.... just kept going through my head. My brain is a blender. I've tried to create what I'm hearing in my head using my rudimentary Audacity skills, but I'm no sound engineer. I tried to match tempo without changing pitch, and match pitch without changing tempo. The result is little choppy and probably totally wrong since, unlike Jeremy, I don't have perfect pitch. (I am so jealous. That's definitely on my list of top ten superpowers I wish I had.) Anyway, if we can do this, and that's a big IF, I think it could be one of those WOW songs. It still kills me every time I listen to it. Listen and let me know what you think!! Agree with Jeremy, and sorry I've been so busy with work. I am leaving tonight for a three city tour of DC, Miami and Atlanta, back late Thursday night. But I'm up for practice any other day or evening.

Okay, it's time to get this thing back up and running. AND it's also time for a praise and worship SERVICE!! I know that we've got the park show coming up, but we need to seriously be thinking about when we should it. Let me know what you think!
