This neighborhood organization has been founded to facilitate communication and information within this part of the College Area’s nine regions. It is felt that everyone benefits when a neighborhood has a sense of community. To do so, one needs to know who your neighbors are, have opportunities to meet them and share interests and concerns. Our site exists to help facilitate that purpose. It is not a political organization, it does not take a formal stand one way or another on community issues. It will however provide information and resources about issues that neighbors have expressed as concerns. On this site you will find many sections that we hope will help create a real community. Our web site will attempt to provide summaries of meetings held by various community groups, or links to those groups if available. We will list phone numbers and emails for existing resources that should be utilized in dealing with concerns such as trash, noise, safety, etc. We hope to have an interactive bulletin board where people can share information about hobbies, items for sale, skills to offer, etc. We hope that at some point we can even organize some community activities such as block parties, or neighborhood clean up, etc. Our site however, is not a place to single out individual properties or property owners. If there are concerns, neighbors are encouraged to talk to neighbors, or contact resources as a group. CAN is not going to be involved in disputes, or tolerate inappropriate postings on the bulletin board. We would like to invite all residents to email the information you would like posted on this site. We will accept articles regarding community events, and brief postings in the following categories; Available (including garage sales), Wanted, Interests and Hobbies and Talents. We will not list property for sale. Please email amerling@cox.net so that your information can be posted on this site.
